Team skills

Hashim, Anya and Laura are in a team of 3 to complete a Christmas ad for our project assignment. We will use our skills to our advantage to complete the project to the highest quality possible but we will also develop and improve our skills to get better at certain job roles. Anya, who is the director and costume designer will use her direction skills to support the rest of the team. Her confidence and leadership skills will be important to support the team and motivate them while they do their work. Also, her costume designing skills will be important as she will have ideas on what the actors will wear when it comes to filming. Laura, who is the location manager and 1st assistant director will use her management skills to manage and support the team. She will be able to manage the location and work out what is best for the whole team and what location is safe for children to perform on. Laura is also the 1st assistant director so she is a huge asset to the team and is a huge support for Anya who is the director. She will also use her leadership and management skills in this job role to support the team. She will use her organisation skills to organise production meetings and also determine the shooting schedule so everyone in the team knows when to be in the location to film. She will also use time management skills to manage the running of the set which will support the team as they will be able to keep track of the time and length of each shot. I (Hashim) is the camera operator and editor. I will use my skills to operate the camera and create a look and feel for the production. I will use camera equipment to help film the project to get it to the highest quality possible. Also, I will support the team by taking up the important editing job role. I will have the director to organise the best takes so I am able to edit them to create the final product and so the whole team is satisfied. Overall, we will support each other by always communicating so there is no problems and if there is problems we will try to solve and overcome them as a team so we can finish our production. Also, we will use our personal skills to support each other as our own individual skills will influence the production and make it a lot better. At the end of this production we all hope that our skills and ability have improved massively in our job roles that we agreed on in our team contract. Furthermore, to support each other we will make sure we complete our job roles successfully so we avoid problems and interference. We must stick to our job roles in order to improve our skills but also to contribute and support the team.
